Ironically, even as technology advances, people are still eating unhealthy food, whether it’s polluted by pesticides, or grow with chemical fertilizers, or processed in an unhealthy way.

Organic agriculture shall be much more accessible, since nowadays, technologies and information systems can help to reduce the cost of organic agriculture, and it’s not a luxury in China. However, people in China are indulged into oil and salt heavy food, for instant satisfaction. To enjoy the subtle taste of organic food, people must live a slow life, not overwhelmed by work and stress. Thus, the issue is much wider.

Yunnan province, with its unique climate and soil, is capable of growing from blueberries, coffee, tea, grapes, to tropical fruits. However, the potential is rarely realized, and farmers are still growing normal crops like rice, corn, etc.
