Ecocity

The ecocity project is a sandbox for exploring the design of a high tech ecocentric socialist city. It mainly consists of the following components:

• railway transportation system, including the eco train model series, cable car
• information display system, including the display for the train, and the whole city

transportation system

Railway transportation system:

• local lines L1, L2, L3, etc, for local transportation within the city, with frequent stops and low speed
• high speed lines H1, H2, etc, intercity transportation, but multiple stops within the city
• cable car lines C1, C2, etc, for transportation in the mountainous area, with scenic views
• green way for bikes and pedestrians G1, G2, etc

stations are virtual and not aiming to be realistic, and each virtual station may not correspond to a real place on the earth:

• SouthNord: the place where the south and north meet, suitable for multi-cultural activities and research. Mostly close to the cities in Yunnan province.
• South: Most likely Shenzhen, etc, where the climate is hot and humid, and people are busy making money and doing tech related like electronics, hardware, etc. There’s also a lot of buzz for food, drinks, and nightlife, and people are more into fast food, instant satisfaction, and entertainment.
• North: Most likely Beijing, etc, where the climate is temperate, and people are slower and more into culture, deep research, etc. The activities are fewer, and shops close early.
